Olga Kachina, Californian historian-researcher, began publishing a series of articles under the general title: “Getting Acquainted with the Collections of the Museum-Archive” in the newspaper “Russian Life.” The first article reconstructs the history of the founding of the Scout organization – “Bonfire Brothers “ – in Harbin, China, in 1925. Materials for the article were used from the collection of Vladimir Petrovich Heiskanen of the Museum-Archive of Russian Culture in San Francisco.
